Philosophy of Education:
- The most important rule of teaching is to treat every child equally with respect, no matter what the child looks like or from where he or she comes. We will be a diverse class, and in order to keep individuality of each student we will all coexist with one another and will eventually become one. As a result, we will become a rainbow of colors, a beautiful symbol of equality; each crayon and each color will represent every student in my class. The crayons symbolize each student and hold a specific meaning to each of their personalities. A diverse classroom opens up a whole new world of learning for everyone.
- I will use progressive teaching skills and more hands-on learning lessons.
- I will incorporate a large variety of children’s literature in the classroom.
- I will educate to change the lives of students and help them become smart, independent and continuing learners who embrace others around them.
- I will educate to help future generations achieve their dreams and reach their goals in life.
- I will educate students to continue to be life - long learners.
- William A. Ward once stated, “The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” This quote embodies everything I believe about teaching. The greatest teacher is the one who inspires all students. I would like to inspire children to never give up; they can accomplish anything they desire. I want to be that teacher, who everyone returns to within ten years and says, “Thank you for believing in me and helping me reach my goals.” I would like my students to inspire me to become the best teacher and role model I can be."
